The filter is a replacement to the refrigerator which I have had for 8 years. It is always consistent and works well. Change every 4-5 months, based on usage of the water dispenser or the ice machine.

Easy install and works as it should. Not sure on the longevity of the product. I would imagine it depends on the type of water you have supplied to your home.
